The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom verkar inte få något DLC

Där finns inga planer att på att expandera Tears of the Kingdom via nedladdningsbart innehåll, och trots närmare 20 miljoner sålda exemplar är producenten Eiji Aonuma nöjd som det är. Han anser helt enkelt att spelet är komplett i sin nuvarande form och därmed inte har något behov av extra DLC. Detta förklarade han i en intervju för Famitsu där han sa följande:

"There are no plans to release additional content this time, but that's because I feel like we've done everything we can to create fun in that world."

I kontrast fick Breath of the Wild två separata DLC, något Aonuma förklarade på följande vis:

"In the first place, the reason I decided to make this a sequel to the previous work was because I thought there was value in experiencing a new game in that Hyrule place. If that's the case, if a new reason arises, we might return to the same world again. Whether it's a sequel or a new work, I think it's going to be a completely new game, so I hope you're looking forward to it."

Så kort och gott, han stänger inte dörren helt och hållet för en potentiell expansion, men fans av spelet får nog i varje fall mentalt förbereda sig på att vara nöjda som det är.
