Evil Geniuses has announced that it is making a change to its Dota 2 roster. This move comes in the form of the release of famed Finnish professional Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka, who has been let go from the team.

JerAx originally joined Evil Geniuses back in November 2021, after previously being retired following a few very successful years on OG Esports, where he was part of the roster that won not one, but two consecutive The Internationals.

Speaking about the release, Evil Geniuses has stated, "As we head into the next season of DPC, we have chosen to part ways with @iamJERAX. Jesse, thank you for all that you've done for the team and we wish you all the best."

As for what's next for JerAx, the Finnish star has yet to announce anything, but has published a tweet that said, "I'm looking forward to the next challenges. I'm interested in playing pos 4/5 or coaching."
